Recent events

I sold a portrait I quickly drew a couple of days ago and finally got paid for it last night.  Sadly, I don't have a way to document it or anything unless I ask my friend, Lindsey, to let me take a picture of it.  I made it with Char-kole and white chalky pastel stuff.  It was kinda fun to draw because the whole time I was thinking, "Wow, I'm actually going to get paid for doing this quick portrait."  Of course, it's only $5 and that'll get me barely more than a gallon of gas, but it's not that bad and I have to start somewhere.

I'm also trying this sort of business where I have to sell health products to people.  It's interesting.  There's a lot of stuff in this bottle that I got today.  Resveratrol, which is an extract from red wine or grapes, pomegranate, apple, and some other fruits and vegetables that are in this drink.  These bottles are pretty expensive for $50 each for 32 ounces, but if they are as good for a person as all these things they are saying, then it is a wise investment.  There are still more things that I'm going to find out about tomorrow at another meeting that they have.

Now, I have a lot of things on my plate.  There's a bunch of reading to do for my classes:
  1. a paper for one of my art history classes is due on Tuesday,
  2. an exam for that same class on Thursday,
  3. a drawing project with three drawings of one place but at different times so it shows a change over time is due on Tuesday,
  4. a bunch of reading that I have to do for my writing class, a revision for an essay for that same writing class,
  5. preparations for a bunch of short essays for work with an organization, You Vote, for that same writing class,
  6. the drawings that I'm doing for my drawing 2 class need to be awesome because I'm going to enter those three pieces into an art exhibition next month on the fifteenth,
  7. and make money to pay bills and rent.
So I've got a lot of things to do in a short time.  And I hope to be posting more sketches and finished pieces up here for you.  See you again soon.
